A NEW BOOK: PARIS LIGHT

I am very excited to announce the arrival of a new book!

Paris Light: A Personal ‘Plan de Paris‘ has just been published by Pitt Street Poetry. It is a celebration of Paris, with 26 poems by me and 26 images from paintings by my husband, Martin

In 2011, I was very fortunate to be awarded a six month residency at the Keesing Studio, in the Cite Internationale des Arts, right in the centre of Paris. Martin came with me, and for half a year we tried to live as if we were ‘at home’ in Paris. Each day while we were there, we both walked. The streets and places we visited which became special to us are the subjects of the poems and paintings in this book.

We are delighted that Paris Light, A Personal ‘Plan de Paris‘ will launch as part of the 2024 Newcastle Writers Festival program. It will be launched by Judith Beveridge who will conduct a conversation with us about the book. I will read poems, and some of Martin’s artwork will be on display. Linsay Knight, from Pitt Street Poetry will host the event.

Saturday 6 April 1.30pm – 2.30pm
Watt Space Gallery, 20 Auckland St, Newcastle NSW 2300
